Daycare Subsidy

i-Happiness Card

i-Happiness Card is an electronic card that can be used by parents to pay for daycare services (government subsidy + own funds). In other words, it is issued as part of the government program to provide daycare subsidies to all parents, regardless of their income levels.

You can apply for i-Happiness Card when applying for the childcare subsidy.

  • Application period

    All year round

  • Application location

    The eup/myeon office or community center (dong office) with jurisdiction over the registered residence of the child.

  • Eligibility criteria
    • Parents receiving childcare subsidy from the government for daycare services
    • Childcare subsidies for children aged 0~5, children with disabilities, and multicultural families
  • Application procedure
    • Visit the eup/myeon/dong office
    • Fill out and submit the Childcare Subsidy/Allowance and i-Happiness Card Issuance Application Form and required documents
    • Pay for daycare services with i-Happiness Card (government subsidy + own funds)
  • How it works

    The government’s childcare subsidy is directly provided to the daycare center when the fees are paid for by i-Happiness Card.

    • i-Happiness cannot be used to pay for expenses other than childcare costs.
    • Field education fees and special activity fees must be charged after obtaining consent from the child’s parent or legal guardian.
